Meet the book of James
Five short chapters about putting faith into practice: wisdom, kindness, our words, patience and prayer.
Who wrote it, and when?
The letter names its writer as James. Christian tradition connects him with James, the brother of Jesus and a leader in Jerusalem. Authorship and dating are debated: some date it before his death in AD 62; others place it around AD 90–100.
